WARNING! IPL IS NOT THE SAME AS LASER HAIR REMOVAL!

IPL hair removal treatments are often misrepresented and sold as laser treatments – IPL is not a laser!
So, before you commit, educate yourself about the disparities between IPL and Laser.
Think of IPL like a camera flash, it emits a broad spectrum of light that targets the pigment in the hair follicle.
Laser, on the other hand, is a single narrow, highly concentrated beam of light, targeting the melanin in the hair follicle.
Both laser and IPL work in the same way for the purposes of hair removal. The light (laser or IPL) enters the skin and is absorbed by the melanin in the hair shaft. The absorption of this light causes the hair shaft and follicle to heat up and destroys future growth.
Let’s understand the difference between both procedures.

IPL –
1. Less effective due to broad unfocused energy.
2. More treatments required.
3. Lower cost technology without built.
4. in cooling systems = more discomfort.
5. Increased risk of side effects, particulary on darker skin types.
6. Cheaper treatment costs.
7. Multiple Wavelength – Can Treat various concerns acne, hair, redness.

LASER –
1. More effective due to precision.
2. Less treatments required.
3. Better technology – Built-in cooling systems = more comfort.
4. Lasers are safe for all skin types.
5. More expensive treatment costs.
6. Single Wavelength – Can only treat a specific condition. (ie hair removal)
While both IPL and Laser CAN deliver results, it’s crucial to acknowledge that generally laser technology stands out as the superior choice when it comes to hair removal.
Laser is more specific than IPL, and therefore is more effective and has fewer side effects and complications with less sessions required.
